The IPEBLA Teleconference Committee has assembled an expert panel of speakers who will address the topic, “Executive Compensation Issues - Benefits Becoming Salary".

This Teleconference will focus on when certain employee benefits and perquisites provided to employees in different countries constitute taxable income to employees, as well as recent trends in providing benefits and perquisites to employees in the different countries.  In light on the increased scrutiny of the press and shareholders on executive compensation, companies need to diligently review their benefit and perquisite programs to ensure that they are appropriately treating these benefits and perequisites as salary when required. 
The speakers will cover issues such as:

  • What types of benefits and perquisites companies are providing in different countries to their employees;
  • When and how different benefits and perquisites are taxes in different countries; 
  • How providing different perquisites to employees can impact other benefit plans of the employer in different countries; and
  • Recent trends relating to the provision of perquisites.

Length of teleconference:
The panel discussion will run for approximately 70 minutes, followed by a 20-minute question and answer session.
